Italy's talented but unfancied
27-year-old journeyman skier Florian Schieder came second in the
downhill Friday on the mythical Streif at Kitzbuehel.
Alto Adige native Schieder came in just 23 hundredths of a
second behind the winner, Austria's Vincent Kriechmayr, who
notched his 15th career victory and third this season after Val
Gardena and Bormio.
Swiss skier Niels Hintermann was third, while Italian No 1
Dominik Paris came joint fifth.
