Outgoing Democratic Party (PD) leader Enrico Letta announced on Tuesday that the centre-left group will take to the streets on December 17 to protest against the government's 2023 budget bill.
"Aid against soaring energy prices for just three months," Letta said.
"War on the poor and favours to tax evaders.
"Little or nothing for jobs and growth.
"And petrol and diesel prices increase from December".
The ex.premier described the package as "improvised and unfair" and "inadequate with respect to the risk of recession and the increase in inflation".
