A three-year-old Italian-Tunisian
girl died in hospital Friday after falling from the fourth floor
of an apartment block in Turin Thursday evening, medical sources
said.
The child arrived at the Regina Margherita Hospital in a
desperate condition, doctors said, and they tried a delicate
neurological operation but she died of a critical brain injury
sustained in the fall.
The Turin flying squad have questioned the girl's mother, her
partner and a neighbour.
It is not clear whether the girl was alone with the partner when
she fell or whether the mother was also there.
The partner is of Tunisian origin.
An autopsy has been ordered.
The incident took place in Via Milano.
