Italy's flu curve is rising and there
have now been over one million cases in the country, according
to the weekly report from the InfluNet surveillance network of
the Higher Health Institute (ISS).
Flu is spreading quickest among the under fives, whose incidence
rate is four times to national average of 4.8 cases per
thousand, at 21.25 cases per thousand, InfluNet said.
Some 283,000 new flu cases have been registered in the last
seven days, bringing total infections since the start of the lfu
season to just over one million.
