A top Milanese realtor was arrested Monday on suspicion of drugging a young couple and raping the woman during the viewing of a garage in their home for sale in the northern Italian city, police said, adding that the man was a serial rapist and another two young women had come forward to police, with more perhaps to follow. The estate agent, Omar Confalonieri, with a studio in the ritzy via Montenapoleone and convicted of a similar crime in Monza in 2009, allegedly carried out his latest crime despite the fact that the couple's months-old baby was there with them at the viewing. The man denies the charges and opted to exercise his right to remain silent in questioning Monday. The alleged attack took place on October 2 but the professional, 48, was only arrested Monday. He is accused of spiking the couple's drink with a benzodiazepine, which was found in his home during a police search. The man has been charged with aggravated sexual violence, abduction and grievous bodily harm. Police said they were examining similar cases involving he realtor and urged women who had lost consciousness after meeting him to come forward. They said Confalonieri had kept his latest victims captive for eight hours. The alleged rape was captured by security cameras, police said. The realtor was convicted in 2009 by a Monza court of raping an 18-year-old colleague in March 2008 in an agricultural area at Lentate sul Seveso near Milan, after drugging her with tranquilisers. He served a four-year year sentence before being declared rehabilitated upon his release in 2013. Police said they believed "several" young women may have been attacked by the man after he spiked their drinks with tranquilizers.
