A worker who reported the high death
toll at Milan's Don Gnocchi care home leading to a police probe
into the institute has received a dismissal letter from the
cooperative that operates there, AMPAST, sources said Thursday.
Other similar workers have received letters threatening
disciplinary action and transfers to other facilities, ANSA has
learned.
The Don Gnocchi is one of scores of care homes around Italy
and especially in Lombardy under investigation for suspected
negligent manslaughter during the coronavirus epidemic.
