There will be a "collegial"
government decision on whether to go ahead with the TAV
Turin-Lyon high-speed rail line, Premier Giuseppe Conte said
Thursday, saying the decision would not be "emotional or
personal but transparent".
He said collegial decisions were the "best way to safeguard
Italian interests".
The decision will be taken on the basis of a
government-commissioned cost/benefit analysis which has been
reported as arguing against completing the project.
Senior government partner the 5-Star Movement is against the
project while junior partner the League is in favour of it.
