Police in Pistoia placed a
75-year-old man on house arrest for persecutory acts against a
25-year-old woman, including allegedly attempting to run her
over with his car in recent days, after she rejected his
romantic advances.
The woman had previously filed multiple complaints with
police, alleging the man had been stalking her for months and
had also threatened her and those who tried to defend her.
Police arrested the man on Monday, after one of the woman's
friends alerted them that the man was lurking near her home.
