Antonio Patuelli, the head of Italian banking association ABI, on Wednesday blasted the stress tests European lenders are put to as "abstruse in content and method". Patuelli also complained about the leaking of information on Italian banks, many which have been at the centre of turbulence on the financial markets due to concern about their exposure to non-performing loans. "If the news leaks came from private individuals, it would be possible to take legal action," he said.
