Italian banks more taxed than rivals - BoI (2)

In 2006-2014

(ANSA) - Rome, March 7 - Italian banks had a tax burden of about 40% in the 2006-2014 period, higher than that of Italy's four major rivals who had rates between 28% and 37%, a Bank of Italy report said Friday. Government measures brought the tax burden down last year but they remained above those of Britain, France, Germany and Spain, the report said.
