Defence Minister Roberta Pinotti
told French counterpart Jean-Yves Le Drian Monday that "Italy is
not keeping its guard high against terrorism, but very high, I
tell my French colleague". She said "we know the risks of the
ISIS threat and the migration situation well. Italy is aware of
its role. We are proud of what we are doing". Le Drian said
Sunday that ISIS militants who may be lurking amid migrants
travelling from Libya to Lampedusa represented a "great risk"
for Europe. France and other countries have raised the
possibility of a threat of ISIS members hiding among refugees
travelling from Libya.
