An Israeli flag fluttering in the
centre of Milan with flags of other countries taking part in the
Expo universal exposition has been daubed with red paint, police
said Friday.
The flag already had been moved from the via Mercanti to
the via Dante on the other side of the Piazza Cordusio to make
it harder for vandals to damage but police said three strokes of
red paint had been daubed on the flag on Tuesday.
Police were examining closed circuit television footage of
the site to try and identify the person responsible, police
said.
