(ANSA) - Vatican City, June 15 - Former papal nuncio Josef
Wesolowski will go on trial in the Vatican for child sex abuse
while an envoy on July 11, the Vatican said Monday. Former
archbishop Wesolowski, a Pole, was arrested in the Vatican in
September on charges of allegedly abusing children while he was
a papal ambassador in the Dominican Republic. It was the first
arrest inside the Vatican for alleged paedophilia. He is also
charged with possession of child porn after his return to Rome
in 2013. The ex-envoy faces six-seven years in jail.
