Social services agency INPS said
Friday that the annual average pension of retired judges is
103,000 euro gross - about 90% more than would be likely if the
system was based strictly on contributions to the pension
system. Premier Matteo Renzi's administration is reviewing the
pension system, particularly since a court ruling in April
rejected earlier cost-saving reforms that froze increases based
on inflation, and forced the government to repay some money.
