Carabinieri police on Wednesday
nabbed eight suspects and seized 28.50 euros in what they said
were ill-gotten gains at post offices in four Naples
neighborhoods.
The suspects allegedly sold numbered tickets to people so
they could jump the lines, which are notoriously long in Italian
post offices.
The suspects were caught red-handed during patrols on the
day pensions are paid out, when the elderly are often targeted
by robbers on their way out of the post office.
