Allege Roberto Helg involved in extortion scandal

(ANSA) - Palermo, March 3 - Police in Palermo said Tuesday they had arrested the president of the city's Chamber of Commerce.
Roberto Helg is also head of the airport management authority Gesap.
Police said Helg was arrested Monday in connection with an alleged bribe of 100,000 euros from a catering company leasing space at the Palermo airport.
Investigators allege extortion which they say went on for several months involving the extension of contracts for retail space at the airport.
They say they followed the money trail and have interviewed Helg.
