Greece 'may need third rescue' warns Dombrovskis - update

Bloomberg reports EC vice-president's concerns

(ANSA) - Rome, March 2 - Greece "may need a third rescue when the current plan expires," in June, said Valdis Dombrovskis, vice president of the European Commission, Bloomberg News reported Monday. Dombrovskis, who was interviewed in Riga, Latvia, spoke only a week after the Eurogroup extended the present bailout plan another four months in a decision that went down to the wire. Greece was required to pledge a series of structural economic reforms in order to win the extension of the bailout deal.
