French Justice Minister
Christiane Taubira said Thursday that France is the homeland of
"Voltaire and irreverence, we have the right to laugh at all
religions". She spoke at a ceremony for one of the Charlie Hebdo
cartoonists murdered last week by terrorists. "We can draw
everything, including the Prophet," said Taubira, who spoke at
the same time as Pope Francis said it was wrong to mock
religious beliefs.
