New EU anti-terror plan soon says Juncker

'Improve Schengen accord' says European Commission president

(ANSA) - Brussels, January 8 - European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said Thursday a new EU anti-terrorism plan is forthcoming.
"We will soon unveil a new anti-terrorism plan of action that will boost cooperation between Europol and national intelligence agencies," Juncker said.
"I am also thinking of improvements to the Schengen accord (that created Europe's passport-free zone) to make it more efficient".
His statement came the day after a suspected Islamist commando stormed the Paris offices of Charlie Hebdo satirical weekly, gunning down 12 people including four of France's top cartoonists and two policemen.
