The European Court of
Human Rights said Thursday that it had rejected all of the
complaints presented by inmates in recent years - 3,564 cases in
total - for violation of their human rights due to prison
overcrowding in Italy. The ECHR said new procedures introduced
in Italy meant that the inmates had not exhausted all of the
possible domestic remedies.
