An agreement has been reached with
creditor and stakeholder banks for State postal company Poste
Italiane to invest 65 million euros more in Alitalia, with
Etihad poised to buy a 49% stake in the struggling Italian
carrier for 560 million euros, ANSA sources said Tuesday. Poste
Italiane is currently Alitalia's second-biggest stakeholder
after acquiring over 19% when taking part in a
government-orchestrated bailout last year.
