Google has been obliged to pay a
fine of one million euros by Italy's privacy watchdog for the
Internet giant's Street View service.
The charge dates to 2010, when so-called Google Cars with
mounted cameras and other devices roamed Italian streets without
properly identifying themselves as such.
The agency ruled this did not give citizens the opportunity
to avoid being photographed as Google mapped out Italian alleys
and thoroughfares.
