On Thursday, 5 January, the EU High Representative will meet in Rabat with the Moroccan head of government, Aziz Akhannouch, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of African Cooperation and of Moroccan Expatriates, Nasser Bourita, as well as other institutional interlocutors from society and Moroccan commercial representatives. On the following day, Borrell will go to Fez for a meeting with Professors and students of the Euro-Mediterranean University of Fez, where he will hold a speech. His visit will be the opportunity for an in-depth discussion on the creation of a partnership between the EU and Morocco, also within scope of a new Mediterranean Agenda.
Borrell will discuss the current on-going issues and explore specific areas where dialogue and cooperation could be strengthened. The meetings will also provide the opportunity to exchange opinion on regional and international issues of common interest and of particular importance in the current global scenario, not least the overall impact of war in Ukraine.(ANSAmed).
