of Saudi Arabia's crown prince, Mohamed bin Salman, line the
streets of the Egyptian capital and a red carpet was rolled out
at the entrance to a boat for his visit to the Suez Canal.
The Saudi crown prince's three-day visit to Egypt is his first mission abroad. Greeted and accompanied by Egyptian president Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, Mohamed bin Salman will be looking at projects alongside Sisi such as once for an industrial settlement on the banks of the Suez Canal and the large investments that Riyadh has announced, after providing a great deal of funding to the Egyptian government in recent years. Sisi and Salman will also discuss problems in the region, such as conflict in Syria, Libya and Yemen. The two leaders have already presiding over the signing of four agreements for the establishment of a joint Saudi-Egyptian joint investment fund and a cooperation program to promote investment and anti-pollution measures.
