(ANSAmed) - MADRID, MARCH 12 - Spain's Senate confirmed life
imprisonment as maximum punishment for jihadists, media reported
on Thursday.
In a Wednesday evening session, the senate rejected
amendments to the anti-terrorism jihadist accord proposed by
opposition Spanish Social Workers' Party PSOE.
During the debate on the reform of the Penal Code, amendments from Republican Left of Catalonia ERC, United Left IU, Basque national Party PNV and Catalan Agreement of Progress, all opposed to the introduction of life sentence in anti-jihadist pact, were rejected.(ANSAmed).
