Leaders with the president's party, which has a relative majority in the government coalition, are expected to approve the early vote at the congress. SNS is Serbia's main party and recent surveys found 45% of would-be voters backed it, well ahead of the Democratic Party (DS) of ex-president Boris Tadic which garnered between 14 and 15% of backing from those polled.
