BOLOGNA - Patrick Zaki, a 30-year-old Egyptian doctoral researcher at Bologna University who spent 22 months in prison in Cairo and was released last month after pressure from Italy, wrote on Facebook Friday that he had tested positive for COVID-19.
He noted that he had got tested after having symptoms, urging anyone who had been in contact with him to self-isolate.
