TUNIS - The International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Libya tweeted on Wednesday that "131 migrants were returned to Libya this morning by the coast guard" and "among them were 13 minors". "IOM teams were at the disembarkation point in Tripoli to provide emergency assistance to the migrants," tweeted IOM.
Concerning the same group of migrants, Alarm Phone tweeted, "During the night, the ~120 (in the end 131) people in distress were found by the so-called Libyan coastguard and returned to Libya". "While we are relieved that they survived, we fear for their lives in Libya, a warzone where torture, rape and imprisonment are systemic conditions".
