(ANSAmed) - FOGGIA, MARCH 1 - About a hundred police,
carabinieri, financial police and firemen on Wednesday morning
cleared a migrant shantytown in the countryside between the
towns of San Severo and Rignano Garganico.
Known as the 'Gran Ghetto', the wood and cardboard constructions had been used by numerous migrants working on area farms. The operation was conducted after an investigation that was started in March 2016 after reports of possible criminal infiltration. (ANSAmed).
