(ANSA) - TUNIS, 20 SET - Everything is ready in Bizerte for
the fifth "World ocean forum" scheduled on September 23. The
last logistical preparations to host the event's activities have
been at the center of a working session at the governorate,
during which the governor of Bizerte highlighted the economic,
touristic, environmental and civil importance of the forum,
recalling the need to devise effective working plans to reduce
the impact of pollution, global heating, the unbalanced
exploitation of marine resources and other open issues. For his
part, the Forum's director indicated that the event this year
will have as theme "2050, the ocean".
The forum's program will include scientific presentations by
groups of experts and oceanologists from Tunisia and other
countries.
The presentations focused on five main themes: governance,
geopolitics and security in the oceans and seas, climate and
biodiversity and their impact on people, knowledge, science and
scientific innovation, the blue economy, technology and
renewable resources and one last theme titled "What type of
Mediterranean do we want by 2050?". (ANSAmed) (ANSA).
