(ANSAmed) - MADRID, MARCH 26 - Due to the national strike
called by unions on March 29 in protest at labour market
reforms, 424 national and international flights have been
cancelled by the airline Iberia and subsidiary Air Nostrum. The
news has come in a note issued by the airline. 65% of the 342
flights planned for that day by the national flier are affected.
Minimum services agreed by the Infrastructure Ministry with the unions are ensuring 50% of flights whose origins or destinations are the Balearic or Canary Islands and the cities of Ceuta and Melilla; 20% of connections with European destinations and 40% of intercontinental flights are also guaranteed. The company announces it has made its tariffs more flexible to facilitate ticket exchanges or refunds for passengers whose flights have been cancelled. (ANSAmed).
