(ANSAmed) - BRUSSELS, DEC 15 - "The League delegation will
not vote in favor of the draft resolution on the case of human
rights defender Abdulhadi Al-Khawaja in Bahrain. It will not
work with groups that have sullied their reputations with
scandals at the European Parliament," sources from the League
delegation at the European Parliament said on Thursday.
The decision was made "after elements emerged during the presidents conference, where numerous questions had already been posed by President Metsola, us, and others on the advisability of supporting a measure backed by groups and people who for days have been at the center of the news due to international scandals and corruption cases," the League decided, according to the sources.(ANSAmed).
