Italy's public debt rose to 2,894.7
billion euros in March, an increase of 23 billion euros on the
previous month, the Bank of Italy said on Wednesday.
The central bank said the public sector borrowing requirement of
27.7 billion more than offset the 4.2-billion-euro reduction in
the Treasury's liquid assets, which took them down to 38.6
billion.
