Mongolian news agency MONTSAME and
ANSA on Wednesday signed a cooperation agreement making
available and providing for the exchange of content for use on
their respective platforms.
The agreement was signed from remote in the presence of the
Italian Ambassador to Ulan Bator Giovanna Piccarreta and the
Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of Mongolia in Rome,
Mandakhtsetseg Khatanbaatar.
Under the agreement, subscribers of the two agencies will now be
able to enjoy a broader range of international information
services as the partners will be able to use each other's
information services for editorial purposes and develop joint
commercial proposals to support the communication of
institutions and companies in their respective countries.
Ambassador Giovanna Piccarreta said: "Italy and Mongolia share
the values of democracy, the rule of law and the protection of
human rights, starting with freedom of expression and of the
press", adding that she was "particularly pleased to be present
for the signing of this important agreement between ANSA and
MONTSAME news agencies".
It is, she added, "an agreement that contributes to bringing our
countries and our citizens even closer together, on the eve of
the 55th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Italy and
Mongolia, which will fall next year".
Minister Counsellor Mandakhtsetseg Khatanbaatar from the Embassy
of Mongolia in Rome, expressed satisfaction with the agreement:
"Nowadays, the exchange of news and information between nations
and peoples is vast and open, but having accurate and meaningful
information from qualified sources remains a challenge. Under
the cooperation agreement between MONTSAME and ANSA, the
citizens of Mongolia and Italy will have the opportunity to
develop better mutual understanding and stronger ties by
receiving accurate and reliable information from trustworthy
sources. The Embassy supports and wishes success to this
cooperation in order to share and showcase the rich history,
culture, heritage and achievements of the two countries within
their respective communities and to international audiences".
MONTSAME Director General Sodontogos Erdenetsogt said "today
marks a significant milestone for MONTSAME. Our modern
diplomatic relations, which formally began in 1970, together
with our historical ties form a solid basis for cooperation in
various fields. I am confident that the partnership between
MONTSAME and ANSA will not only strengthen the bond between our
countries, but also promote understanding and solidarity between
our peoples. Through the regular exchange of information and
resources, we aim to facilitate greater awareness and
appreciation of each other's cultures, traditions and values".
ANSA CEO Stefano De Alessandri stated: "The new cooperation
agreement with MONTSAME is a new step in our growth strategy in
the international market, which further enriches the news
offering for our subscribers and customers."
