Renzi meets Cameron in Downing Street
British prime minister greets Italian with warm handshake
01 April, 14:33
Cameron and Renzi shook hands warmly and exchanged greetings before entering the prime minister's residence in London.
The leaders are set to give a press conference after the talks.
Renzi has embarked on an ambitious reform programme to overhaul Italy's slow, expensive political apparatus and revive the economy. The 39-year-old, Italy's youngest-ever premier, has also had bilateral meetings with United States President Barack Obama, French President Francois Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel since unseating his Democratic Party (PD) colleague Enrico Letta and taking power in February.
