Govt approval ratings down 2%, Renzi loses 3% (ANSA) - Rome, March 28 - Italian government approval ratings dropped 2% this week, a new poll said Friday. The poll, taken Wednesday by the Ixè institute for Italian broadcaster Rai3, showed support slip to 50%. Premier Matteo Renzi also saw his approval figures drop three points to 57%. Italian President Giorgio Napolitano followed suit, dropping from last week's 43% to 40%. Meanwhile the leader of the anti-establishment 5-Star Movement (M5S) Beppe Grillo enjoyed a 4% jump in the polls, now at 30% electorate approval. Interior Minister and New Center Right (NCD) leader dipped one point to 19%, while three-time premier Silvio Berlusconi lost two points, now at 16%. Pollsters contacted 1,000 people for the study, with a margin of error of +/- 3.1%.
