Franceschini tells Obama 'In Italy it is the best job'

U.S. president teases culture minister: 'great job' (See related) (ANSA) - Rome, March 27 - United States President Barack Obama toured Rome's ancient Colosseum Thursday, and teased Dario Franceschini, minister for cultural heritage, about having a "great job".

"Minister of Culture? Great job," Obama joked during his private tour of the iconic sight.

To which a smiling Franceschini replied, "In Italy, it is the best job".

His private tour was led by Barbara Nazzaro, technical director of the Colosseum, who led a previous tour in 2009 for the president's wife Michelle and their two children.

Obama also joked that the Colosseum was bigger than some American baseball stadiums.

"Amazing, amazing," Obama was overhead saying during his tour.
