Man under house arrest killed in Sardinia car bomb (ANSA) - Nuoro, March 25 - A man under house arrest for alleged fraud was killed in a car-bomb explosion in Sardinia on Tuesday. Roberto Aresu, a 49-year-old car salesman, died from the blast that went off shortly after he started up his vehicle in the center of the town of Lanusei, on the eastern coast of the Italian island. Police said he was leaving his mother's home at the time, and that the explosion rocked the small town, sending the car flying into the air. Aresu was allowed to leave his home to go to work amid house arrest for an alleged fraud linked to used-car sales.
