Premier's center left PD still country's biggest party (ANSA) - Rome, March 11 - The center-left Democratic Party (PD) of Premier Matteo Renzi remains Italy's biggest party with 34% of the electorate, despite dropping half a point over the week, a new poll said Tuesday. Together with other smaller parties, Italy's center left covers 38% of votes, according to pollster Istituto Piepoli, which conducted the study for ANSA. Italy's centre right accounts for 34.5% of the electorate, with three-time premier Silvio Berlusconi's Forza Italia maintaining the biggest portion at 20%. Comedian-turned-politician Beppe Grillo's anti-establishment 5-Star Movement (M5S), Italy's second-biggest party in terms of votes at last year's general election, is now third with 18%. The poll was conducted Monday on 500 people.
