Lazio court suspends INPS property management contract (ANSA) - Rome, March 11 - The Lazio administrative court (TAR) on Tuesday suspended a contract for the management of the real-estate portfolio of national pensions and social security agency INPS on grounds of possible failure to meet tender requirements. Judges suspended the contract worth 44 million euros won by Romeo Gestioni after lawyers acting for an unsuccessful participant in the tender appealed against the outcome, arguing that the winner was involved in a legal dispute with the former state employee pensions body INPDAP (now part of INPS) and that its legal representative had a criminal record. The court is due to examine the matter on June 18. INPS has a real estate portfolio of over 13,000 properties with a total estimated value of nearly two billion euros.
