Robber dies of suspected heart attack during bank hold-up (updates previous) (ANSA) - Bari, March 10 - A man died of a suspected heart attack on Monday after trying to hold up a bank in the southern Italian city of Bari armed with a screw driver.

Luigi Abatantuono, a 37-year-old father of three, collapsed after a scuffle with a security guard or a bank employee, according to initial reports.

Police on the scene said he had a record of bank robberies.

The father of the would-be robber arrived on the scene and said his son was a cocaine addict. "He was getting help," said Vito Abatantuono.
