Italian stock market +0.58%, Btp-Bund spread at 174 points (ANSA) - Rome, March 6 - The Milan bourse on Monday added 0.58% with the Ftse Mib index closing at 20,753 points as investors bet on shares of Unicredit, which opened at 5.86 euros a share and closed at 6.04 euros a share.

J.P. Morgan analysts raised their target price to 7.12 euros a share on the bank, which is releasing economic data on Tuesday. The spread between Italy's benchmark 10-year bond and its ultra-safe German counterpart closed at 174 basis points, down from 178 points at Friday's close, with the yield on Italy's 10-year paper ending trading at 3.36%.

The spread between lending rates in the two countries is an important indication of investor faith in the Italian economy.

In Madrid, the IBEX 35 index added 0.30% to close at 10,194.60 points. The Paris CAC 40 index rose by 0.10% to end the trading day at 4,370.84 points, while the Frankfurt DAX index shed 0.91% to end at 9,265.50 points.

In London, the FTSE 100 index fell by 0.35% to close at 6,689.45 points, and Greece's ATHEX index slipped by 0.19% to close at 1,338.68 points.
