Pope condemns 'power struggles' in daily life (see related) (ANSA) - Rome, March 5 - Pope Francis used his Ash Wednesday Mass to condemn "power struggles" in one's daily life. "When I look at the little everyday world and see some power struggles, over influence, I think: these people are playing God the Creator, but they don't realize they're not God," said Francis, speaking off the cuff, at Rome's St Sabina basilica on the Aventine hill.

Francis has repeatedly spoken against careerism in the Church since being elected pope last March.
