Inflation 'trolley' drops 0.4% to 0.9% (ANSA) - Rome, February 28 - Italy's inflation 'trolley' of most-frequently bought goods such as food and fuel dropped 0.4% to 0.9% in February, Istat said Friday. The month-on-month fall was 0.3%.

In January the annual trolley rate was 1.3%, compared to 1.2% in December.

Italy's long recession has dampened price rises.

A two-year run of negative growth ended in the third quarter of last year, when GDP was flat with respect to the April-June period, and was followed by a 0.1% rise in the fourth quarter.
