Expelled M5S Senator accuses Grillo of betraying principles (ANSA) - Rome, February 28 - A Senator and ex-member of the 5 Star Movement (M5S) of Friday accused his former leader Beppe Grillo of betraying principles, and declared that expelled Senators like himself now belong to a parliamentary political affiliation called the Mixed Group (GM). Fabrizio Bocchino was one of a number of Senators expelled Thursday by comedian-turned-politician Beppe Grillo and M5S co-founder Gianroberto Casaleggio for straying from orthodoxy to endorse Premier Matteo Renzi's government in a confidence vote this week. "We who have been expelled now are in the Mixed Group (GM), but I believe and I will continue to believe in the ideals of the 5-Star Movement. It is others who have betrayed a number of ideals, like participation and sharing. I am sorry to say it, but even Grillo and Casaleggio have betrayed (the M5S) with their behavior toward us," said Fabrizio Bocchino told the television programme Agora' on RAI3.
