Grillo says M5S network votes to expel four dissents (ANSA) - Rome, February 26 - A strong majority of online voters Wednesday endorsed a decision by most lawmakers of the anti-establishment 5-Star Movement (M5S) who voted to eject four Senators who criticised leader Beppe Grillo.

Grillo called on M5S supporters to oust Senators Lorenzo Battista, Fabrizio Bocchino, Francesco Campanella and Luis Alberto Orellana, saying they were "no longer in sync with the movement".

He organized an online vote that Grillo said showed almost 30,000 voters were for the explusion while just over 13,400 were opposed.

The four were critical of their leader's behavior a week earlier, during government formation "consultations" called by Matteo Renzi shortly before the Democratic Party (PD) leader became Italian premier.
