Calabrian resort town council dissolved for 'Ndrangheta (see previous).

(ANSA) - Catanzaro, February 25 - The Italian government on Tuesday dissolved the town council in the Calabrian resort of Scalea because of infiltration by the local 'Ndrangheta mafia.

It was the latest in a string of cases, not only in Calabria but also in northern Italy where the Calabrian Mob invests its vast drug profits.

Scalea will be put in the hands of a commissioner.
