India marines court postponement elicits 'disdain' (see previous) (ANSA) - Rome, February 18 - Italy's Defence Minister Mario Mauro on Tuesday expressed his "disdain" at the decision by the Indian supreme court to postpone until Monday a ruling on whether to press terror charges against two Italian marines accused of killing two Indian fishermen during an anti-piracy mission in February 2012.

"Our disdain is felt by the entire country," Mauro said, adding that he supported the government's decision to recall Italy's ambassador to India for "consultations" in response to the development.

Premier-designate Matteo Renzi "shares our position", he added.
