Man killed with screwdriver for playing music too loudly (ANSA) - Rome, February 17 - One man was arrested Monday for alleged murder after a dispute over loud music blasting from a car in an upscale Rome neighborhood led to a fatal stabbing with a screwdriver.

"The music is too loud," the alleged killer, a 57-year-old man, shouted before a 33-year-old was stabbed in the chest with a 39-cm-long screwdiver, puncturing a lung.

The victim's brother drove him to hospital where he later died.

The stabbing occured at about 2 a.m. Monday morning on the Janiculum, a prestigious hilltop neighborhood in the center of Rome near the district of Trastevere. The pair had reportedly parked on a street with their car radio on, disturbing the accused, an Indian man who lived in a caravan.
