2.5 mn seized from SCU boss in Puglia (ANSA) - Lecce, February 14 - Italian police on Friday seized 2.5 million euros in assets from a leading member of Puglia's Sacra Corona Unita (SCU) mafia.

The boss has been convicted of a string of bank robberies as well as a security-van robbery, police said.

The SCU is Italy's fourth-biggest mafia after 'Ndrangheta in Calabria, Cosa Nostra in Sicily, and the Camorra in Naples.
